Pay Deal 2024
Following our ballot results UNISON’s NJC Committee has made the decision not to
pursue industrial action in relation to the 2024 NJC pay dispute. The Committee agreed
that we were not able to take action that would have an impact on the national
negotiations. Therefore, UNISON’s position was to settle this year’s pay to enable us to
launch a strong, positive campaign for 2025 pay. The joint trade union side adopted this
position.
A joint NJC circular has been issued to employers, urging employers to implement the pay
award as swiftly as possible. The new pay rates, each increased by £1,290 per annum,
